Episode 6: Gone Home


And we return for another week covering something critically acclaimed, with Alex and Brandon back in full force to complete our trifecta of gaming analysis. This week’s show covered Gone Home, a truly indie title that had a team of only 4 work on it from start to back, and presented a new way to appeal to an audience looking for what we now call “walking simulators.” Though the three of us had some criticisms to apply to the story and its presentation, overall it was a fine experience and worth the 4 or 5 hours of time.

The soundtrack is absolutely a standout, with many hauntingly appropriate ambient tracks by composer Chris Remo. I hope you enjoyed the episode and look forward to the next big two-parter on retro darling, Earthbound!
